Except from Face ID lots of iPhone X users were also complaining about its weight and how cumbersome it felt after extended use. So Apple made Xs a little bit heavier!! Dimensions between those 2 remain exactly the same.

iPhone X: 174gr
iPhone Xs: 177gr

iPhone 8 Plus:202gr
iPhone Xs Max:208gr

8 plus vs Xs Max Dimensions
158,4x78,1x7,5mm Vs 157,5x77,4x7,7mm

How some reviewers point out that xs max feels so light when actually is heavier than 8 plus.

My pinkie finger does get cramped sometimes using the X. I hope with the 2019 iPhone Apple starts making them thinner and lighter.

Perhaps it’s because the way the iPhone is actually balanced in the hand. If Apple shifted components or use different alloys/metals inside for internals, that *could* make a significant difference.

For the record, everyone will have a different perception of how the phone feels in the hand, especially being what they were using for previous phone for a comparison.
