In iPhoto, I have a large collection of images which is sorted be Events (really handy), or by Photos (which is basically separate folders when I imported). Either way, they are nicely organised.

Just bought an iPhone and love it. All of it!

However......when I synced it through iTunes, and asked it to import iPhoto, I was expecting some sort of organisation. What it seems to do is place all of my images in one area. Is there any way to introduce some sort of organisation to this "mess".

For example, I have images from a Xmas Eve Party. Do I really have to scroll through all my images, to get to these?

Thanks!

You can make folders on your computer that contain the photos you want in your iphone then in itunes sync your photos with that folder

Thanks for the reply.

I hear what you're saying. I thought it would have polished things off nicely if they could have been organised them on the iPhone, without me having to first duplicate the images on the Mac, then organise them manually into folders. That's the reason I migrated to iPhoto in the first place. Let the Mac take the donkey work out of organising my images.

Right......1,667 images, here I come!

If you still want them to appear/grouped like Event's, you can just select and right click the Event, create a Smart Album with the option to copy the pictures in the Events as well. This way saves you a lot of time :)
