I thought I'd make a list of all Mac OS X versions ever released, so here it is.

Please edit mistakes and add missing info. (I think I messed up some dates so check those :))

Feel free to make suggestions on things that should be added to this chart too!

What about all the interim updates? There are probably well over 100 in total.
Wikipedia seems to have them all

Idea: I'm thinking we can add a 5th column with the latest update (for example Ventura's latest update would be 13.5 and Monterey's latest update would be 12.6.8)

Edit: wow, I have too many ideas. How about a 2nd table for all the server builds??

Ultimately, I question the value of replicating what already exists in detail on Wikipedia.

What is the point of this, Wikipedia has this.
There is value in duplicating Wikipedia.
The release history for Final Cut Pro has been removed
https://web.archive.org/web/2022031...edia.org/wiki/Final_Cut_Pro_X#Release_history
after a page merge https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Cut_Pro#Final_Cut_Pro_X
It was really useful for this kind of information 10.2.3 “Will not run on macOS High Sierra 10.13 or newer.”
Why not just update the Wikipedia page itself then, still no reason for 2 sources of this, and this was about OS releases not FCP 🤷‍♂️

I mainly did this for 3 reasons:

1. As a backup in case something happens with the Wikipedia page listing all Mac OS versions
2. To have this list on MacRumors so if someone needed to know any of this info they could stay on MR
3. As a fun little project for me to work on :) (but the first two reasons are by far the most important, if the only reason was this one, I’d just do it in a locally stored text document on my pc or Mac :))
