Hi All,

I would really appreciate any help. I keep all my emails in various subfolders on my MacBook 2015. These appear as folders in mail "On my Mac" Since the sierra upgrade they have all gone. I have tried disable and enable the mail accounts from the preferences menu but this has not brought them back.

Can anyone help. I really need those folders back,

thanks

Josh

"I really need those folders back"

Re-import them from your cloned backup?
Thanks but could not find them on time machine as an individual folder so instead have done a full system restore of the backup done 30 mins before the sierra upgrade. I have now exported them to an external drive and will now reinstall sierra and then the folders.

Shouldn't be like this though.

Good. But let us know if the same thing happens on the new update to Sierra.
Hi

Yes it did but this time I just reimported the folders that I had exported to the external drive. Crazy you should have to do this.

EDIT: resolved this by rebuilding Mail!

Using mail in my test driver macOS Sierra, bricked all the rules for mail, so now all mail is 'catched all' in the main folder. Very frustrating.

Cheers
