I'm at WWDC and went ahead and installed ios9 on my main device so I could play around with the new stuff..

ALL my notes are now gone, from ios, my mac(el capitan beta) AND on icloud.. It looks like I'm out of luck..

Has this happened to anyone?

I'm glad I didn't update to iOS 9 iCloud Notes.. I have some important notes I'd rather not lose.

My iPhone is on iOS 8.1.2, but my iPad is on iOS 9.

All my iCloud notes, reminders etc came back on all my iOS 9 devices. But the iCloud notes are not showing on my iMac which was upgraded to 10.11.

Never mind. I restarted the app on my iMac and they all just showed up. So iCloud notes are working on all my devices.

Yea it sucks, I may try an older backup when I get home.

Also will maybe switch to evernote.

Did you read the note that said "If you upgrade notes you will not see them on other devices until they are updated to OS X 10.11 and iOS 9" or did you just click ok?

Here's my issue with anything cloud related for Apple. There's no recycle bin. So if something like this happens again, you have nowhere to retrieve it. At least Dropbox or Onedrive give you a recycle bin if something is accidentally deleted. I can't believe Apple didn't do the same thing. There couldn't possibly be a technical reason for this could there?

Here's my main issue with this one: You installed a beta and expected it to work perfectly. This is a great example of why you should wait until the official release.

Oops, I guess I'm the one who should have read more carefully.

Yea, they are gone from everywhere.. First year at WWDC and I just went ahead and upgraded with my main phone/mac.. From what I heard, it takes the first time to learn your lesson.

Nothing super crucial and I understand it's beta but I'm just a bit bummed out :)

I saw the prompt when I upgraded my phone but skipped it. Backed up my notes to the pages app and then was prompted again at night to upgrade notes so I did.

I went back to 8.4 and restored from a pre wwdc backup, all is good now :)

I did file it as a bug!
