Yo. Our church group has an all night party tonight. I really want to go, but its all night. The main issue is being able to stay up all night or at least until after lazer tag..at 2-4. Any suggestions? The last couple days i have been kinda tired with End of year stuff. don't want to get totally wired on caffeine, etc. lol.
I have some anxiety and going threw some growth spurts(really late grower), etc. Caffeine will not be good for either.;). And when i get really tired, i get kinda anxious.;).



Any tips to be able to have a short nap in the evening?

Any tips would be very appreciated. :)
 
Speed or other drug that keeps you awake :p

Red Bull is good as well but the after effects are horrible as it makes you more tired lol
 
I would suggest just doing your normal routine. Make sure you get a good amount of sleep the night before.

If you can get a nap, do it well before you have to go to the all-night thing.

If you are having fun you should have no problem staying up all night.

I would advise staying away from caffeine, you are young enough where you shouldn't need it. JUST HAVE FUN.

If you are getting tired, just have one of your friends wake you up when lazer tag starts. Wake right up and then have some caffeine, which will give you enough of a boost to get through laser tag...and perhaps an edge over the others.:)
 
Oh hahaha, why are you trying to stay away from caffeine? caffeine rocks no matter what :D

IDK really... I remember an end of year party I went to (more like end of school but eh) I thought I'd be tired and not be able to stay forever (started at 7pm ended 10am next day :p) but I did, ID surprise yourself :p

Well i just woke up at 815...which is late for me... but i did go to bed like 2 hours later then normal for the last few days...

any tips for a nap?
 
Try shifting your sleep pattern temporarily, take a nap during the day before. I used to find that after a nap and 2-3 cans of Coca cola (over the course of a day mind) my body wouldn't shut down before 4-5am.

I would do that but its tonight... and even if i go to bed late the last couple nights...(like i have), i still wake up at my normal time...:(

OP, just forget about it. either nap now, take drugs or drink Red Bull to stay awake. when I had the party I went to I had been at school for 9 hours before and only 3 hours to get ready, and I hadn't slept in 2 days before :D

ps. im sure that the church would be totally fine with a bunch of 15-18year olds with drugs but defenatly not hookers. :p:p
 
It seems like you will be running around and hanging out with friends, so I doubt you will become tired. The environment and elements you are in will probably keep you up.

yyyeah. you'll be fine buddy. as long as you aren't in a room laying down in the dark you're good.

just do what everyone else is doing. if they sleep - you should too. it's not really an advice thing, actually it's kind of weird.
 
Here is what I have learn how to stay awake though multiple alnighters some intentional other just happen to be that way.

Just keep your mind active and you will have little problems. I have done the all night Laser tag thing and honestly I did not feel it until the morning.
While in school I would average 1 all nighter a semester. My personal best was on 3-4 hours of sleep I was up for 40-25 hour straight. I did not feel it after about 26-27 hours.

That 45 hours was pulled off by being up all night finishing a paper, going to work, followed by going to class and finishing up a semester project in the afternoon and then top off with playing smash brothers with my room mate and some friends until 2-3am. Then I proceed to sleep for 14 hours.

Most of the time the all nighter I pulled in college I would have to go about my next day afterwards with class. I think people who done them will agree you hit a wall a few hours past bed time and once you push threw it you do not noticed it so much.

I would not use caffeen to stay awake during the all nighter but tend to really on it a little more the following day.

MONSTER! I'm pretty sure a little bit of caffeine one time will be alright :D
Since you're trying to stay clean... Just energy drinks normally, if you want a good boost then you can use a 5 hour energy or a NOS (that keeps me up for a good 8 hours)

Agreed -- take a nap tonight, before you go. You may want it to be a bit of a longer nap (hour and a half -to- two hours) If you can try to get the tiredness out of you before the party, then hopefully you won't get tired until 6AM or so.

Then take a cold (lukewarm) shower before you go. That helps keep you on your toes.

If you don't feel tired then don't try to take a nap. I think you are just better off going to the thing and not thinking about it. Like others have said, you will probably hit a wall but then be OK.
