Who still likes their last gen. imac? Raise your hand in uproar!

I mean honestly, I'm sad that my state of the art iMac is now obsolete and has less resale value now but that doesn't matter, I'm remaining faithful!

Even though if I had money I think I would buy a new one because we all know that it's nice to get new technologies!

Your iMac is not obsolete. It can still do everything (near enough) that the new one can do.

While I do like the specification of the new iMac's, bar the graphics, and am warming to the design, I wont be getting rid of our white iMac's any time soon :)

Hand is well and truly raised, If I hadn't just bought a MacBook and AppleTV, I would probably have update my iMac as I love the new design but it can wait a while....

Hurrah for G4 700MHz !

If Apple updates its GPUs on the new iMacs, gets rid of the glossy screen (I spend a LONG time infront of the computer daily - I cannot afford to have any risk of eye damage), and does something about that thing on the front which can only be described as 'mole' (The Apple logo - seriously, that thing is eyecatching for all the wrong reasons), then im on my way to the Apple store !

I love both my Macs. PBG4 12" and iMac G5. I'll swap them one day, but not today :)

I'm pretty faithful to my G3 iMac :p! It has worked flawlessly for the past 6 years! (knocks on wood) It looks better than the new ones too!*

*That's a fact AND YOU KNOW IT!;)

I loved my little G3 iMac, but eventually it just got too slow for my needs so I sold it. Lovely machine and extremely quiet :)

I'm going to hold on to my CD 20" for a while. I just bought a Macbook, and in June an iPhone. So... I've blown my tech budget for the year. :)

However, I love the new look and the temptation is strong! I probably can't resist splurging for the new keyboard, so I'll get some of the new iMac experience. :apple:

Me.

I love the new design (thinness, gloss screen), But like the white better.

It's the black border that nukes it for me.

Yah that's what I don't like most as well.
Plus give us some more damn USB ports.... couldn't believe there was still only 3

Me too. I'm so thankful that I got the white iMac with matte screen last summer. This new design just does nothing for me. I couldn't be happier with my iMacs performance anyway.

I'll be staying with my 24" iMac, powerful 7600GT GPU, and ample 500GB drive which I installed myself! I don't think that the new 24" imacs outdate the white ones at all, especially in performance. I may however buy the new keyboard. It should compliment nicely with the white imacs too, as the base and logo are the brushed silver color. The 2.0 USB ports are nice too as the wired versions take up too much room on the backside of the iMac.

I'm holding on to mine for now, but really only because I got it in March and I'm strongly considering getting a laptop after Christmas.

I've had this iMac since last Christmas, and I love it. I plan on keeping it for a really long time.

Right, I still have a G3 333 and a G4 1ghz running in my house (skipped the g5), and when the 2.8ghz C2E gets here next Friday there will be 3 iMacs running in my homestead. I'm still faithful to my iMacs, but I guess I just practice polyamory with my computers. ;)

Im still true to my G3's and my lovely main box: My 1.8 G5. Intel still feels a little icky to me. I still think my g5 is faster than my mini.
