Its not a day or two late, as far as I know Friday was the planned release since the initial post the dev team made.

yeah man, I'd just wait until you get back. when ever I have to update mine by the time it gets all the music synced and all the apps back, it can take 6 hours or so. I'd rather have a fully functioning phone if I was going to be away from my local area for awhile.
