2012 iMac. Canon MG5150 Printer/scanner. Hadn't printed for months then first couple came out OKish the other day, then some colour loss on next prints. Refilled the Canon ink cartridges and ran a test print. The test print comes out fine. Showing Blk, Yellow, Magenta and Blue working.
I recently updated the operating system to High Sierra not sure if there is a potential issue there. I also read that the iMac monitor is calibrated for the US. So I changed the calibration to Europe. Now instead of a fix all I get having tried different profiles and downloading the Canon driver again is Slightly purplish Grey prints. I tried modifying the CS6 Photoshop settings as the file was in PS. Then I tried printing a pic from 'Preview' same results. So it's not a CS6 setting issue, it's the iMac settings or Printer settings. All prints grey with a slight warm purple tint. HELP.
Some advice suggests making sure when printing from PS that either PS or Printer handles colours but not both, Yet other than simply selecting either with the print menu window open, I don't see how you disable one or the other to prevent both processing the colour info.
Any ideas because I'm getting very frustrated after 3 days and prints to make via Photoshop.
Out of the menu drop down options for profiling the printer I use, there are about six options to profile that include the name of my printer Canon MG5150. How do I determine which profile is accurate to my printer?
Thanks in advance.
I'd even attempt resetting the iMac monitor to default and the printer set up too. Not sure what they were originally set on now.
