just want to say that I'm kind of dizzy with all the info on here. I try to learn as much as I can, but now I feel that I'm outdated with no way to find the track.
So here is the story. My MP3.1 is 2x2.8ghz, 32DDR 800Mhz, Nvidia GTX680,... and Fenvi Broadcom BCM94360cd combo on the way.
The main problem I have is that Cubase app won't launch. From Cubase support, they say it's related to GPU (as the crash log says).
As my Mac is not having native SSE4.2 support, maybe that's the problem. Maybe the Mousse is not enough...
Second issue, is that my GTX680 is not working faster than my older 5770 1gb when working with FCPX... and that's weird.
Do you think with my setup I should go for OpenCore Big Sur? I have no idea about OC, and I'm reading a lot of posts concerning my MP3.1 on OC and Big Sur. I did make it with Dosdude, but I'm not sure if I'll get it with OC.
Is any of you running a 3.1 with similar specs, a OpenCore Big Sur? Any experience? Should I go for a ATI card for better Final Cut results? Which one? This is another head crash!
For last, I patched my MP ROM, using dosdude app with success. After a SMC and PRAM reset, it seems my APFS volume is missing, and the yellow text came back! what is this? did I reverted the patching? quite weird too. I tried to re-patch again, but I get a error message, and don't go on.
Sorry for all this, I promise you that I'm being as precise as I can. Hope you can help me.
