Allow Cydia to keep u-t-date- signatures for my iPHone?

Did any of you do this? I am a bit skeptical. It claims it will ensure the futurire ability to restore this device to OS 3.1 But I am already on 3.1...

Yes you should allow it. It will allow you to downgrade if a new update comes out and you update to and want to go back to 3.1. If you did this when you had 3.0 you could go back to 3.0 whenever you wanted to even though apple doesn't want you to.
