I directed someone to my public mobileme idisk page to upload a file. The page asked for a login and password. Is it possible to have someone upload something to your idisk w/o giving them your login and password?

There's got to be a way....

You probably need to take a look at the iDisk tab in your MobileMe System Preferences. There is a checkmarked option there for enabling password protection on the public folder.

And if you do enable password protection on your public folder, the username is public and the password is whatever you set it to be in the prefs.
