Was about to splurge 2k on a new iPad m2 with pencil, but had a quick look through Facebook marketplace.
Picked up a good as new iPad Pro 10.5 with pencil for $300 instead.

Figured I’d see how this runs on iOS16, with my use case.

While some things feel a little slower (1 or 2 seconds), this beauty is perfectly capable of letting me do what I want - for a whole lot less 🤓

Oh, and I forgot how much nicer this form factor feels in the hand, compared to the new design.

At $300 including Pencil, even if it only lasts a year or two, that's a great deal. But should be able to last even longer if you don’t need the latest software.
When it comes down to it, five year old iPads can do 99% of what the newest $2k iPads do for 99% of people.

At $300, this not a good deal given that the iPad Pro 10.5, while a good model has a bunch of issues with the bright spot issue and intermittent touch issue that many people reported. A better deal would be an iPad Pro 11” 2018 or 2021 model for a little more that would receive a bit longer software support and still runs fast. I still use a 2018 11” model, although my 2021 M1 iPad Pro 11” is my daily driver.
