Almost no brand has available cases for Airpods 4

I don't know if this happens every time new Airpods are released, as this is the first time that I buy them on launch date.

I am a sucker for design, minimalistic looking cases for both my iPhone and Airpods and it's a bummer that almost noone has launched cases for Airpods 4, apart from a couple very popular brands, like Spigen for example.

Do any of you, by any chance, have an idea of when the brands start releasing variety of cases, after a new model launches?
It seems that most brands have available cases for the new iPhones, but not for the Airpods.
I guess that people are not so interested in them...

For now, I bought a non-branded chinese one from Amazon that will take about two weeks to arrive

I wasn't buying cases, until I accidentally dropped my 2nd gen Airpods on a downhill street and after that, the case was full of dents that I hated looking at!

After that incident, my newly bought Airpods 3 went immediately inside a case, but there were so many cases to choose from, back to then...

Yea, it's like this every time new AirPods are released. I would say around two months before you start seeing cases from the popular brands like nomad, native union, pitaka etc. I typically get something cheap and cheerful like a no-brand silicone case to tide me over in the short term.

Oh wow, thank you so much, that was the answer I was looking for, because I've been checking a ton of brand's sites and social media daily, in case they release anything!
I'll just give up for now and recheck after two months or so!

“Thanks for reaching out! At the moment, we don’t have any confirmed details about releasing cases for AirPods 4. However, we’re always working on new products, so keep an eye on our website for updates!”

Pretty much what I was expecting. I also don’t believe them. They are 100% working on a case. Strange that they would be so coy about it.

I see... I got a quite similar answer from Nudient, when I contacted them right after the Airpods 4 launch and that response made me think that maybe they don't plan to launch a new case after all, because they have all their Airpods cases on sale like forever and they don't promote them on their social media, at all...

So I thought that maybe, they will stop producing Airpods cases altogether, after the old ones are sold out, although I hope that's not the case, because I love their Bold cases!

But if all brands respond in a similar way, then I can get my hopes up I guess

What I meant by cheap and cheerful. For your "AirPods & 4" 😆

Picked these up for US$3.75 each from a local shop here in Hong Kong. No branding whatsoever. Very smooth silicone that fits perfectly. You can see it sits perfectly flush on both the top and bottom. Also comes with a mini carabiner which I won't be using but nice that it's included. Not a fan of the protruding loop on the side or the hinge at the back as it prevents the case from being fully opened but it's fine. Luckily, it doesn't prevent charging when placed on a wireless charger which I didn't even consider until I got home.

I'm sure you can find something very similar on Amazon, although probably not as cheap. I included some photos of the packaging to help identify them if interested. For under $4 bucks a pop, I really can't complain.

I believe the case you are showing was not yet available on the European Amazon when I ordered the non-branded one.

For the ANC model, I didn’t see much on Amazon, but I saw thousands for the AirPods 4 (non-ANC).
The Airpods 4 are not magsafe compatible but the ones I ordered will make them Magsafe, let see.

Yes, if you have the ANC model, they will not fit.

I hate cases with loop on the side. I like to put my AirPods in that mini pocket in your jeans. It always takes time before a large amount of cases become available.

The only cosmetic difference between the AirPods 4 and AirPods 4 ANC cases is the speaker grill at the bottom of AirPods 4 ANC. They are otherwise identical in this regard.

Nice one, Spigen is always a value for money!

My Airpods 4 case with its cheapish cover on already fell to the floor once yesterday - thankfully the Airpods stayed inside!

I started thinking that maybe I should get a case with a lock, that way if it falls down, the Airpods will always stay in place.

I never really thought about it during the years I owned my Airpods 2 & 3, I always paired them with common cases and the Airpods ended up to the floor most of the times... So I'd like to protect the Airpods 4 more.

I have noticed that ESR makes two designs with a lock and they are already available, although I'm not really a fan of them in terms of style, I much prefer a more minimal approach, but I guess I'll sacrifice the aesthetic for safety!

If anyone already got the latest ESR cases with the lock, I'd love to know your opinion on them!
