i don't think we want to know why your KB is all stickie... ...

Now it works. The problem only happens for 5 or 10 minutes after I start using it, then once it "warms up," it works fine. The problem isn't consistent, because they don't work only about 50% of the time that I start using it cold.

By the way, I've got all the latest software and take really good care of it.

lol. but seriously, its completely clean. I have a screen cover that I lay over the keyboard, so even if something does spill on the thing, it is protected. I clean it here and there too with compressed air.

Do you have access to any keyboard at all? Even a PC keyboard? If so, you might be able to answer some questions that could help us help you.

Did you spill something on it? if you did, Apple may not feel too kindly about replacing the keyboard for free; you might have to pay for it.

EDIT; why is it working fine now...?

Thats what I just said that it needs to loosen up or something. The keys are only broken after the computer hasn't been used for a few hours.

And no I haven't spilled anything on it. Only the outter keys don't work; all the QWERTY letter keys work fine all the time. The ones that usually don't work are: Delete, Space Bar, Caps Lock, All four arrow keys, Tab, the apostrophe/quotes button, the dash/underscore button and the equals/plus button.

Odd. Very odd. As they say, try with an external keyboard when the keys sticky for you. If it works fine you know the problem is with the hardware. Then call Apple Store.

Yeah, I have a bluetooth keyboard, but I'm travelling now and I didn't bring it along. The BT keyboard works fine, so its definitely the hardware. It would suck to be without a computer for a week or more while it get shipped to Apple and back. Do you think I could get it fixed on the spot at an Apple Store?
