I have a 2012 Mini and I'm trying to create a bootable SD card based on the intstructions on these websites.

http://arstechnica.com/apple/2012/07/how-to-create-a-bootable-backup-mountain-lion-install-disk/
http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_...ate-an-os-x-10.8-mountain-lion-install-drive/

Both mention to download the installer off the app store so I went to the app store to download it but it shows the price tag instead of an 'already installed' button. Am I doing something wrong or something?

Attached, ML installer with price tag, Evernote with 'already installed' tag.

I'm a rolling stone.
Same question here, I also have the 2012 Mac Mini which I bought last week, the OS should be free and downloadable.

How?

Edit: Appstore says buy, what buy, It is free if you bought a product with ML installed originally!

The version of Mountain Lion on the app store isn't compatible with the 2012 Mini, and can't even be downloaded from a 2012 Mini.
The process to get the installer is rather convoluted- you'll want to search the forum for detail as it's been covered multiple times, but you have to start up internet recovery, let the recovery download the installer, and then interrupt the installation process to capture the installer disk image.

You can't get it from the app store since you did not buy it there. You can snag the installer directly from Apple's servers by following this process. The article is for Lion, but it works for ML also.
