Heya!

I'm not that type of technic guy but I tracked my full charge capacity with coconut battery as soon as I got my iPhone 12 Pro.
I had a full charge capacity of 2922 mAh and after only 12 days it's 2877 mAh, so I lost 45 mAh in only 12 days.

This isn't maybe a big thing now, but for me it's a bit to early to already loses that much mAh isn't it?

I try to load my phone between 30% and 80%, never let it the phone completly die and never used wireless charing or fast charging...

My old X was down to 80% after only 1 1/2 years, so I have to do something wrong as I often read from users that they still have 95% after 2 years.

Can you see those dropping numbers also on your new iPhones or could you give me some ideas what I do wrong?

Use and enjoy your phone, you are worrying about an estimated number that is going to vary throughout the phones life.

Are you wanting to return the phone? I am asking because I see a lot of threads about this here and on Facebook and don’t exactly get what people want to do after putting so much thought and worry to a number that is a mere estimate.

Have you seen an actual effect on your battery life due to this?

As others have said. Stop worrying about it. Just use your phone. If it goes below 80% before 1 year warranty is up, apple will replace the battery.

Thank u guys for all your answers.
Maybe I’m a bit too worried about that.

I was just thinking like in 12 days 45-50 mAh seemed like a pretty high drop.

the battery is literally 2815 mAh so that's already wrong

Brand new models, like literally fresh from the factory, often have a higher capacity than the design capacity. Saw that already on my iPad and MacBook according to Coconut battery.

Three months ago I bought my 11 Pro Max: out of the box (zero charging cycles), its actual capacity was 4082 mAh vs design capacity of 3943 mAh (according to 3uTools).
For the first 2 weeks it constantly kept losing between 4 - 12 mAh / day until its capacity reached 3968 mAh, then suddenly it began to gain on the same daily basis.
Current capacity after 62 full charging cycles is 4098 mAh - basically higher than the initial value. The peak was about a week ago: 4099 mAh.
Bottom line: if you want to baby your battery, keep it as much as possible between 30 - 80% and avoid fast charging unless it is really necessary.
Hope this helps.

Imagine an app that gave you a figure for your remaining days of life. Would you look at it?
What I'm saying is just live your life, just use your phone.
