I have this file; i am sending it to a plotter, problem is that the solid black curves are made of little lines, when sending it to plotter the pen moves a thousand times to fill it wearing the pen out and burning a hole in the paper. How can I fix this, also the text is not one single stroke so pen makes the outlines of the text thus blurring it so cannot read. Anyone have any ideas?:eek:
I'm going to fill it with a different texture, probably little dots instead of solid colour as solid colour is not an option with a plotter.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

The "solid black curves" in your drawing are anything but solid black. Some of your text is outlined. The inescapable facts are that your drawing is not intended to be rendered on a pen plotter. You need a large format inkjet printer/plotter.

You have two options:
  • The the printing/duplication station at Office Depot or FedEx Office (formerly Kinko's) for a large format inkjet printer/plotter. Pay them to print as many copies as you need.
  • Redo the drawing so that it is compatible with your pen plotter.

Thanks Mister, I'm actually after a way to quickly select the small lines; tried magic wand and really turned the tolerance minimalistic, but being black on white it does not work, just selects everything.
What I have done is used lasso to select but very labor intensive.
My previous post is about converting the text to single line and there seems to be a script but I can't get it to work, quite advanced.
Anyone have any engraving/ single line fonts that would speed it up for me, at the moment I've created my own symbols and dragging them on screen then resizing to suit.
