My wife HATES the new app finding the screen far too cluttered and to her the interface non-intuitive. Can anyone suggest an alternative app that has a simpler screenscape?

Books non intuitive?

You can say that again.

I called Apple and talked first to someone who said she knew all about “Books”. She didn’t. She transferred me to a Senior advisor who could not answer a single question I had about the new app. She has elevated my questions to the engineering department. o_O

So frustrating. You would think they’d at least have a PDF manual walkingvyoubthrough this new app. They spent about minute during the presentation basically to tell you how awesome the redesigned Books App was. Lame.

Finally figured out on my own that in order to have most anything working and syncing you must enable iCloud Drive. OK but you need to be a mind reader.

Also ability to sort your books is problematic. Apparently Apple’s solution is to make your own collections of everything under the sun. Ugh.

Got to disagree where, I tried Bluefire and it is almost featureless and not been updated in a long time.
It may be featureless, but at least, all your books stay where I put them - either on my computer, or my iphone or my ipad. That's the feature that I need.
