I am wondering if there is an alternative to pangu for 7.2, i have searched and found nothing but servey riddled download links.

No reason for it, the Dev have blessed pangu as safe
pangu used a exploit that they could not use because of legal reasons
No need to waste one more exploit

It should work, shut off any screen locks
Be sure you are changing the date when told, then make sure you click the pangu icon when instructed

If you still have problems, make a itunes backup of your data and then do a dfu restore to ios 7.1.2 then jailbreak with a fresh install of ios. That dfu restore needs to be done asap since it is likely apple will close the signing door within an hour or less once ios 8 lands tomorrow
