Is there a FREE music app that works better than the stock Music app?
I have tried giving this stock app a chance but have grown tired of its design & the battery drain it's causing.

Marvis is quite good. Try the ad-supported free version and if you like it, get the even better paid version to support the Developer.

Does the stock Music app normally drain the battery a lot? I barely make it through the day while listening to downloaded music.

I listen all day in the office, streaming through WiFi, using airpods which means bluetooth, and it's 5 pm now here: still have 36% left.
