Alternative Photos App?

So new iPhone user here. Currently have the iPhone XS Max 512gb in black. Absolutely love the phone but HATE the photos app.

I've came from Android (don't judge me). Photos apps would have a "Camera" album where all photos taken and saved are displayed. Now if I created a new album and chose pictures for that album, the photo moved from "Camera" album and to the new album and it was not left in an "all photos" album with my 5k pictures I have on my phone. This annoys me. Why can't i "move" photos to a new album instead of basically duplicating them. And having a "favourites" album permanently there bugs my happiness too as I don't want that but cannot remove it along with the people and places stuff too. Why's it there!?

So is there any alternative apps to the stock photos app on iOS. Sorry for my big rant but it's the one area of this phone I hate as I take alot of pictures and use such app alot.

Google photos. You can’t make any non apple app as default apps but you can use other apps if you choose to.

I appreciate you can't change the default app. Just looking for something to view them better. I just don't get why apple think this is the best way.

It works for me. You just need to get used to the new way of working.

On my iPad Pro, I use Photo Manager Pro to store and organize my photos. Anything that ends up in Camera Roll I transfer over to it and any pics I want on my iPad I add via the app's WiFi transfer capability.
