I used to have text notifications from google calendar set for 15 minutes before the start of the event. As I’m transitioning out of my .edu gmail account, I just realized that this text notification doesn’t exist anymore.

Anyone know of a good alternative for this? I was thinking there might be a way to enable push notifications from the calendar app on my iphone as reminders for events. Haven’t been able to find this option though.

Thanks!

If you have your Google calendar account added on your phone then you can get calendar alerts for your events through the Calendar app. Google also has their own Google Calendar app that an give you notifications for events as well.

I turned off the push notifications from the google calendar app and just use the Apple calendar notifications so I don't get double notifications. The Apple calendar will pull in all the data from the google calendar
