iPod Alternative to iExplorer

Hello, can somebody suggest a best free alternative to iExplorer to extract music from the iPod to the iTunes? I'm talking about just a few songs and not the whole library. Please advise. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't think there are any free or open-source apps that will do this.

DiskAid is certainly a good alternative.

It's best to keep a copy of your music in iTunes as well as your iPod.

Are you trying to copy music from a family member's collection?
