Works somehow in Catalina but Big Sur its not doing what it should

Which functionality do you need?

Automatic (i.e. time of day dependent) dark mode has been a system feature since Catalina. Per-app disabling of dark mode can be achieved with a command-line command.

Perhaps this app works for you: https://github.com/zenangst/Gray

AFAIK it interfaces with the command-line tools I mentioned, so it should be a good substitute. There is an example command on that page.
