I've had all I can stand with stuffit 10...it doesn't expand half the things it should. So, does anyone know of an alternative to stuffit?
thanks in advance.

thank you, yes i know that all signs point to stuffit but i just cant stand it...i wish there was something like winzip for mac that could expand anything.mad jew said:Well, some people are having more luck staying with Stuffit 9.0 however I find 10.0 better personally. There are many more specialised de-compressors on VersionTracker however Stuffit is the best all-rounder IMO. Maybe have a bit of a look around there all the same, just to see if there's one that suits you better.![]()
well i only have (had) stuffit expander...and apparently they released build 10.0.1 which fixes the errors that i am experiencing. BUT it wont let me upgrade expander without downloading and installing stuffit standard (which is a bunch of crap that i dont want to deal with). As of this point that is the only way of upgrading it...or so it seems. I am stuck.bousozoku said:What things doesn't it expand?
I know it can't compress .zip file contents beyond the minimum but it does expand quite a lot and you can allow it to use the system utilities to work on others.

WinZip didn't expand rar-files last time I tried.Ultimate-Omen said:thank you, yes i know that all signs point to stuffit but i just cant stand it...i wish there was something like winzip for mac that could expand anything.
