Is there any alternative to tapatalk to access forums in iOS? Looking soft some change as I’ve been using tapatalk for a while now since android days.

As far as I know no. For the most part Tapatalk does the job fine imho.

Why are you looking for another option? Tapatalk does great for when it’s needed to do.

Only bad thing I see about Tapatalk is if you are not patient, poster creates duplicated replies. I have never used it and just go to the regular site on my X. I do not do Forums on my phone but understand that it is all some have.

Not aware of any alternative. Tapatalk has the market cornered with their app. I like it as lot although it does take some getting used to. This question has been asked every year I have been here.

Yeah but it does help when you use multiple forums and makes it easier to go to all of them

I think Tapatalk needs to improve on html coding better. Some of the edits don’t appear within the app. Other than that I’m very happy with it.

App works for me but I wish it would allow editing of postings after publication.

I do especially appreciate its ability to host images and automatically down sample them for the web/mobile...

You can edit a post after it has been made in Tapatalk. Tap on the post you want to edit. Once you do, the entire post should turn blue. When that happens, you should see a black submenu pop up with the edit option.

Just deleted and deactivated my Tapatalk account after ten years also. I don’t agree with their greedy antics anymore. I was on the original Tapatalk Pro that was paid for. They discontinued that and now want me to pay monthly. Eff them.

I paid for the original Pro too. We should really have kept the benefits from that. Tapatalk is the only way I view and post on this forum though as I’ve not found a better app.

I fired up my ole copy of TTPro at the tail end of last year and was told that they’d “graciously “ given me a 6 month pro subscription.

Tried it out for three days then gave up and let it lapse.

Found it awful to post here and, quite honestly, not a patch on the mobile web UI.

Can’t see myself ever using the app again, now.

Any tips and how to transition my forums over to Safari or something ?

Sorry, but no. I’ve been using the mobile web version of MR since I started here. I only fired up TT because someone mentioned how good they thought it was.

Unsure about other forums, but aside from some rather niggly editor buglers that do me bloody head in sometimes, I find the web UI here to be leaps and bounds ahead of any UI TT would use.
