Alternative to XLD

Is there a good alternative to XLD that will run on Ventura? I have tried to download the app multiple times but keep getting the warning that “The developer of this app needs to update it” to be able to run. I guess I could allow an exception in Privacy and Security but apps with that warning give me pause. Has anyone else encountered this problem, or believe the current version is safe?

What version do you have? I'm on the previous OS (12.6) but I'd imagine that the current version of XLD - 20230416 - released a month ago, would be compatible with OS 13.

Override the warning, it's perfectly safe to use on Ventura. Make sure you've downloaded it from the official site: https://tmkk.undo.jp/xld/index_e.html

Long time user of XLD here also, and the current version is fine on Ventura. It's even a Universal binary. I don't recall ever seeing the messages you are seeing before.

Yup... Current version works fine on Ventura. No issues.
