Other Alternatives for iMessages on a Surface Computer?

Yes, I know this is blasphemy on here lol.

I’m thinking of getting the Surface Pro X since I like trying new technology, so just was wondering if there was a recommended texting app for Windows. In the past I just used Verizon messages. Probably would not use WhatsApp or Signal since they are there own thing. I use my iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard 80% of the time so will still use iMessages since it’s like better in every way than all of the other text message apps out there.

I don't think that you have many options other than using some messenger like Whatsapp or Telegram.

There is a smartphone app built-in into Windows 10 where you can connect the device to your PC and send messages, but it only works with Android.

What would be your goal? If your goal is to be able to message from any of the devices, Signal will be the best choice as they have clients for iPhone, iPad, and Windows.

If you don't care avec SMS, Signal is the best to use

Look in to the blue bubbles app or air message. I believe one of those will give you iMessage on the surface pro.

I believe both of those require a Mac or Mac in a virtual machine to run a "server" app to service the Windows, Android or Linux client.
