So heres the backstory:
Sitting in a coffee shop, drinking coffee, studying(don't worry, I am always SUPER careful, cup had a lid). I take a sip, and set my cup down, all of a sudden I see two drops of coffee fall onto the topcase. I quickly wipe them away, no big deal right?

Unfortunately, Im a little over paranoid about these sorts of things, especially if it happened near a $2000 piece of hardware. I didn't see drops fall anywhere else, but I still can't help but think...."what if?" I don't want something to fail weeks later...that would be just as bad as something going immediately!
My computer seems to be running fine, keyboard works, speakers work, mic, light sensor etc... but I want to really make sure that everything is still A-ok and just to be safe, Im backing up my data.

Im aware of the Hardware test that comes on the CD and plan to run it as soon as my data is backed up, but I just thought I should ask to see if there are any other hardware tests I could run. Google has turned up squat

Any ideas or assurances would be greatly appreciated! I know this sounds weird, but I cant help but be a little worried at the moment!:(

Seriously, lighten up. If it was just a drop or two on the top case, don't worry about it. It's doubtful that anything would have worked its way in, and if it did, you would probably know about it by now.

However, with that said, you should probably check the keyboard to see if anything did get in there, especially if you put sugar in your coffee.

Another thing is Applecare. Seems like you're the type of person who would appreciate the peace of mind that Applecare affords. Keep in mind that Applecare would not do anything for you if the problems are caused by an accident, of which a coffee spill would be classified as. It's there for defects and such.

I know nothing could work its way its way in, but Im just worried about, any extra spill I might have overlooked. But you're probably right, I would know about it if something else did happen huh...

From what I can tell nothing got in, but then again, for some reason,I didn't really think to give it a good look till I got home(about 10 min later)
I don't have the tools to open up the case unfortunetly:(

Ya, I know I should. I was planning on getting it towards the end of the warrenty, but now after looking into computer insurance, Im wondering if that may be a better alternative.

Well I am feeling a little better at least
