Alu iMac - Superdrive noise?

Just thought i would post and ask if its normal for the super drive to make a like droaining noise when disks are put in and out of it, i cant really describe the noise but its loud, very noticble and just damn annoying! Is this just the normal sound of the super drive or am i already having peoblems with my less then one day old iMac?
