We just arrived back from our 1 week trip to Lake Vermillion, Tower, Minnesota, 600 something miles away from our home in Indiana. In one of my posts from I believe August 4 I asked "how can I package it to bring on vacation." I decided to go with the answer "put a pillow case over it, the iMac is sturdy itself." That idea worked well and costed 0 bling bling. Well, the cabin was actually really dirty even though it was visibly clean and spotless. I have a lot of cleaning of the keys. Or it may have been from the truck. This feels like a smoker's computer. That is not the toughness part of it. The iMac survived. We went through flatlands, prairies, ear-popping hills, and rocky roads. The thing survived, along with no speed lost.
Here is a bad Photoshop drawing of how I put it (iMac sitting on seat like a human being, buckled up, facing the front)
So yeah. I probably won't bring it next year, because it just got dirty and I didn't use it a lot. Well, I played some San Andreas and edited photos. Hopefully I can sell this and buy a Macbook Pro 13 2.53 on X-Mas because I really really need the portability.
Thank you guys so much to whoever answered my older thread.
Good nite.
