Just wondering, because the MacPro's are sooooo expensive I was looking at a iMac. I need external storage, I can't use firewire 800 because the FW400 and FW800 share the same firewire bus and I need to attach a piece of equipment to it with nothing else attached. Addionally I need fast I/O and USB 2 doesn't cut it. Processor spped isn't as imprtant as GFX's and I/O. Is the SATA controller on the Aluminum iMac a port multiplier controller? Any ideas? 3.0 GB's?
Either this is a solution or it's X86 (maybe) or Windoze.....
Thanks
