does anyone know if removing the glass to clean the back of the glass voids the machines warranty

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/4A102 Safari/419.3)

My guess would be yes on that. Apple doesn't like anything to be disassembled.

If you break the glass in the process, it voids the warranty on the glass,
but it has NO effect on warranty coverage for the disk drive, CPU, etc.

The warranty belongs to YOU, not to Apple. You paid for it, and Apple
can't arbitrarily decide to renege on their contractual obligations.

...not just a good idea -- IT'S THE LAW! (at least, in the USofA)
