Here is a thought, and not sure why it’s never been implemented, but we have OLED displays on these newer iPhones. Why can’t they just have small notifications like flashing circles or even icons that have notifications? They could take up a minuscule amount of pixels, do the pixel shift thing, and since the phone needs to only illuminate those specific pixels, it really doesn’t seem like it would use much battery. Not to mention the phone could amp the brightness of said pixels up to a higher level. Is this not a pretty solid solution?
