Did I miss it in the keynote or are leaks blending in with reality, is this happening in ios
15 or iPhone 13?

I am wondering, since they did use the LTPO screen technology in the Pro line that would make this feature possible, that it would be possible through software update later? Maybe it just wasn't ready for demo in the event, but they can roll it out at a later date?

I think for Apple todo this the screen will have to be able to go as far down as 1hz. The current iPhone 13 screen only goes down to 10hz

I think A.O.D. will happen next year. 120hz this year so next year it will be that they are taking battery life into consideration

Same thing was said about iPhone 11 having the hardware for reverse wireless charging & that didn’t happen.

Such a simple feature yet apple delays it once again smh...
Apple Watch has had AOD since the Series 5. 2 years now. You have to take this into consideration. Apple rightly combines Apple Watch and iPhone together to create a package of features, and doesn't waste time duplicating things that aren't necessary.

With an Apple Watch, why would I ever care about an AOD on iPhone? Answer: I would not.

And you can say: nOt EvErY oNe HaS An ApPle WaTcH all day. It doesn't matter. It doesn't change the fact that many people do, and Apple does make it, and Apple does intentionally design the experience around both products, to get the most out of the combo.
