I can't seem to find the setting to turn it off.
Since upgrading to IOS 17, when the phone is connected via CarPlay, phone on screen appears to be always on - doesn't lock/sleep unless I press the side button to do it as such.

I've turned off *standby* but it doesn't seem to change it

Yes sounds weird. In ios16 a few weeks ago my screen definitely went to sleep when connected wirelessly to CP. Have you tried all the usual stuff like hard resetting the phone, forget the car and hooking up again to CP, possibility to try with other phone with ios17?

Have you changed the auto lock setting? When CarPlay is activated and running the always on screen should turn off

Thread Brump. What am I amiss.

This seems to be mainly when using in CarPlay, but I have to purposely hit the sleep button to turn off the screen.
However, if I pick up the phone and check an app or something while driving, it will once again remain *on* until I hit the sleep button.

What am I amiss

Not sure, as this doesn't happen to me. The screen stays on for a minute or two as it always has, but it turns off for mne
