I have two accounts connected for Contacts - iCloud and Google.

I have set manual picture for each contact I frequently use, but Google account overwrite it every once in a while (I can't understand when exactly and why).

Can I somehow keep Google account linked for Contacts, but eliminate picture syncing, so all my devices use the same picture from the iCloud I manually upload?

Do the contacts that change pictures have Gmail accounts? If they have their own picture it will override yours in your Google contacts. This also applies to folks whose custom domain mail is hosted by Google's "G Suite" service.

Yes but why Google contacts overwrite iCloud contact images?

It does that? Wow, that's incredibly sucky.
