I'm really missing one thing from Spotify and that's being able to start radio channels based purely on specific year and periods. I normally fire up Spotify, hit the radio tab and select 80's, 90's or 00's and can listen for hours and mostly get great songs without repeats.

I see no such option on Apple Music? The closest thing is going to radio, select pop and go for 90's pop. But I don't want to limit myself to a single genre. Is there no way select a radio channel based on 80's, 90's, 00's etc..? The best thing I can do is to search for playlists for the time area, but then I'm limited to specific playlist with normally 100 songs so it's not really the same thing at all.

Sure, but how do I create my own station basert on periods of time? All I can seem to do is play a song and create a radio based on said song. That station is not going by time periods at all, it seems to go more by the genre than anything else. So if I take a popular song from the 90's and said song is a country song the radio seems to pretty much only give me country songs and it's not even just from the same periode of time. So I have basically no control, so said radio channel is pretty much useless to me. Or have I completely overlooked something?

Where do you see that option? Even after you told me about it I can't seem to find it.. Are you able to do a screenshot?

These don't show in my app, but if I do a search for The '60s, The '70s, The '80s etc they show in the results.

This underlines how poorly the Apple Music app really is with searching and showing you relevant content. When I search for 80s radio, or simply 80s or even decade radio none of these get listed in the results. I have to specificly type in The '60s for the 60's Pop Radio option to show in the results.... And why they don't get listed by default in my radio tab is beyond me. They're not even listed when I go to radio and select pop.

Sadly these are not the same as the one offered by Spotify. These seem to only give you Pop-songs and nothing else. I don't want to limit the radio to only pop songs. I want a radio station giving me all the great songs from that decade, cross genres. We had this with iTunes Radio and this is something offered by pretty much all competing solutions like Spotify, Tidal Rdio, Pandora etc..

When you first setup AM did you select favorite genres? You can go back in and specify it/them again.

I have to agree with you on that. I searched for 1992 music and it gave me a artist called 1992.

I only mainly listen to decade music anything below 2000's well 2006 to be exact that Spotify had that nailed. However Spotify is missing many songs and albums that Apple Music has.
