iPod Am I crazy, or did the price of Lost jump?

I could have sworn it was $28 (SD version) when I looked recently, but it's $35 now that the season has started? I was going to buy the last season at $28, but raising the price after the season stars soured me on the whole affair and I'll likely be avoiding iTMS TV shows (still). If they had even just said "price goes up after 2/2/10!" I would have just bought it back then.

Or am I nuts and his always been $35?

I think season 5 had 17 and 6 is to have 18... the $2 price is for individual episodes and there's a season pass price which I am almost certain jumped up by $7 or $8 after the first episode became available.

If you look closely at your screen shots, those last three "episodes" are just clip shows and recaps and stuff. It's 17 and 18 new episodes, respectively. The 24 iTunes list is I assume what they just list for every show that is in progress.

That makes sense, and is a fine practice for them, but it's dumb to not make it REALLY clear that the price will go up on a particular date. Knowing now that I missed "the boat" on the deal I just won't be buying from them.

You have to think of it as an actual store. One week you may go in and see a price of a new DVD at $14.99, and two weeks later it may be $20.

Ya, it may have been there, not saying it wasn't... I just missed it when I looked at it, so it couldn't have been TOO obvious, like not in 100px blinking red font obvious.

I'm not saying that it's not a "normal" practice or doesn't make sense, it's just a stupid price point. With discount, the season pass was like $27 or 28 for 18 episodes. About a $1.50 for each episode, down from $1.99. Now, the season pass is $35 for 18 episodes, so $1.95 each... a whole $0.05 savings! What's the point of getting the season pass now?

Oh well, no big deal. ABC (and Apple) just lost a sale. I can still get Lost several other ways including at least one other official legal way. Shrug. Thanks everyone for at least confirming I'm not nuts.
