Hi,

When I charge my iPhone 3G, it discharges faster than it charges if I don't have airplane mode enabled/wifi off, and even if I do have airplane mode enabled, it charges extremely slow, and then when I unplug it, it discharges very quickly.

However, here's the thing:

I bought my iPhone in Switzerland, locked to Swisscom. However, now I'm in the States (I jailbroke it and unlocked it, but hush hush)..and won't be returning to Switzerland soon enough to get a replacement, as my warranty runs out in 25 days.

So I'm wondering if, even though it was purchased in Switzerland and is locked to Swisscom, I'll be able to trade it in for a new phone, locked to AT&T? I'll just unlock it, and I can tell them that I'm moving to the States or something, so it makes sense to do (and they don't suspect that I'll jailbreak it, thus suspecting that I have jailbroken my current phone)

Think they'll let me get a new one...? Also, think I can switch the color?

I sort of doubt it as I don't believe the warranty is worldwide.
It is worth a shot but you cannot switch the color, I'm sure of that.

I typed in my serial number on Apple's US warranty site, and it basically insinuated my warranty is valid by prompting me with a list of Apple Store locations/doing an online repair.....you sure they won't let me?

I very highly doubt you will be able to get a replacement here in the states. I've seen past experiences where the person had to return to the country of purchase to get any sort of warranty help.

As for switching colors, no, Apple does not allow that.

I have seen purchases(macbook, iphone, ipod) made in the US replaced or exchanged in Apple Stores outside the US.

Not sure if vice versa is possible.

Good luck anyways
