MobileMe is working as advertised for me and I love it. No matter what forum I update first (web, iphone or mbp), after I update, it gets pushed immediately to the other 2 forums. No syncing, no stalling, no hanging……it gets PUSHED.

What’s with all the complaints? The service just rolled out and there will be things that need tweaking, just like we get tweaks for OSX, ipods, iphones, etc. MobileMe is no different.

Granted, things will probably hick-up occasionally and I’ll experience problems with the service, just like everything else in life, but if Apple fixes them and get’s it all back online, then that’s good for me. As it stands, chalk it up as a +1 in the column for “Who loves MobileMe”.

1. People are impatient
2. They expect it to do stuff it won't "Why won't it push my gmail" lol
3. They didn't suffer through the .Mac years

Working well for me

That has not been my experience the majority of the time, at least not yet. I like MobileMe... love may come later. :)

Information does not get "Pushed" from you MBP. It is not a feature. It syncs.

Yea, seconded. Sounds to me like you're a little over-zealous in your love of this service; you're seeing features that don't even exist. And you're sure that you're not confusing instantaneous push with a 15 minute sync cycle?

My experience has been terrible - I changed my password and now the web interface doesnt recognize the new one, only the old one, but my phone and mbp use my new one - if I go into the web interface to change the paswor again, it operates correctly, yet for some reason the log in screen still uses my old password.

Additionally, as of today everything stopped syncing, so even after manual syncs nothing changes anywhere. This service blows, even compared to .mac, which I for some reason have paid for the past 5 freaking years.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5A347 Safari/525.20)

To be honest, I also love the service! My experience with push:

MM --> iPhone: push
iPhone --> MM: push
MM --> Macbook: push
Macbook --> MM: sync

The big thing with me is the push between MM and the iPhone is excellent so far.

Though I do believe there are those having issues with setup that is preventing the service from working for them.

Update: sync from mac to mm has stopped working since last night!

Agreed.

Every product has its negative nancy's. I get that

But the fact that so many are unhappy with the service so far (not saying the high majority or anything but a good volume of people) show that something has been wrong

Not just some imaginary problem that a few are over-exaggerating.

Pleeeease...

The .Mac years were insufferable because nothing was ever ultimately changed. We're experiencing the same crap with MobileMe that we did with .Mac, and Apple did so little to fix .Mac's problems. That's what scares me.

I don't see it being impatient if all they did was build on the base that .Mac was. Not like they had to re-invent the wheel.
