Lenovo Phab Pro 2, aka Tango phone, anyone else eyeing this monstrosity? I know, call me nuts, it's freakin huge. But that's the appeal, something to straddle the line between my 5.7 phone and 8" tablet. Looking at the design it's quite nice as well. The side bezels are very nice and thin, the top/bottom bezels are not bad at all, and it's got capacitive buttons on the bottom bezel so it's not wasted, and no wasted space with onscreen buttons.

Did I mention it's a 6.4" quad hd freakin screen?!?!? No the specs are nothing incredible, but they are still solid specs. I don't particularly mind looking like the phone guy from Trigger Happy TV either, I got over that insecurity years ago with the Note series.

Also $499 is quite palatable, I'm really getting sick of these sub $1k phones with nothing to offer over half or even 1/3 priced versions. The Tango augmented reality seems very cool as well, although I would think it will be limited because Lenovo will probably not sell many of these.

Ok so who else is nuts and thinking about this?!!?!?

Not a fan of Lenovo so won't consider it.

That being said, I'd love an even bigger display and the form factor looks nice. I'd worry about that CPU and I also personally dislike anything other than black front bezels.

Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
That's one sexy design, also interesting to play with Tango. The Sony 6" phablet has had so many fans, when Sony didn't replace it some actually bought the 8" Xperia Tablet Compact and used that as a phone to replace it, because the cellular version has the Android dialler left on. They just got Bluetooth headsets for it.

So a 6.4" phone isn't as nuts as it first seems.

No you're not nuts. Coooooool! That is one huge phone which would not be my thing for a daily driver or even my secondary hobby phone. But if I wanted to kill off my iPad mini that might be my first choice. That is pretty freaking cool. But I know nothing about Lenovo quality or customer service or how well they would support this device.

A 6"+ phablet has always been a wet dream of mine.
I've got their page saved to my iPad mini home screen. My mini 4 is not even a year old and is already giving me problems, especially on this forum.

I'm going to keep an eye on this Lenovo. However, if I ever do get it, I'm glad I moved. Some of the haunted house apps where you look at projected ghosts wouldn't have played too well in my previous house. I never experienced anything quite like living there. Good grief. But that's a topic for a different kind of forum.

Thanks for sharing this find with us @spinedoc77 If it gets good reviews my husband will know what to get me for Christmas!

That's iOS 10, I've had problems on my iPad Pro, iPhone 7 and iPod Touch current gen, all since iOS 10. It's buggy software and a dreadful version of Safari. My Nexus 5 works great with this website, go figure..

No, it's still on iOS 9, the last version. I won't let it update to 10. iOS 10 is an ugly bloated mess on my cute little SE. :( And people accuse Android of lag! Sigh. My SE is my precious. I wish so much I could put iOS 9 back on it. Why why why did I upgrade it. Horrible user interface issues! But that's for a different thread. I digress, my apologies.

No need to digress.. I enjoyed my iPad Pro with iOS 9, iOS 10 has slightly tarnished the experience due to its bugs, I expect several updates throughout the year to fix it all, as per the norm with Apple these days.

So as a similar point to this thread, what experience will a 5.8" iPhone with curved screen offer as is being rumoured?
Talking of larger phones, is their an increased risk if you drop a curved screen phone from damage?

Well in my husband's personal experience with dropping his first Note 7 and our pool guy dropping his S7 edge and our AT&T rep doing the same to his s7 Edge, from what I can see is that the glass holds steady across the display but cracks at the corners. So the phones remain quite usable, but disfigured.
