I switched to Windows PCs years ago but this new mini (which I think is a really good update) is tempting me to go back to a Mac for my main desktop machine. While my motherboard/ram/cpu are 6 years old and I'm using a regular SATA SSD instead of NVMe, my GPU is only 2 years old... an nvidia GTX 1070 and it wasn't exactly cheap. I'm still quite happy with its performance and going to integrate graphics only would really hurt. It looks like nvidia GPUs aren't supported. Assuming I want to stick with a discrete GPU, is my only choice to get an AMD GPU instead? Anybody here using nvidia eGPUs?

ASAIK, Nvidia eGPU works for Mac OS with some hacking.
