Ever since the Bedtime feature was released, I've wished for the ability to set a different alarm time by day of week. Surely, I can't be the only one who would love this option?! For instance, Mon/Wed/Fri alarm set for 5am, and Tue/Thu 5:30am. I've tried third party alarm apps, but I am terrible at remembering to launch the app before bed, and they don't work unless they are actively running. Anyone else out there wishing for the same feature?

I see why you would want that, but they probably don't allow it because the bedtime feature is all about consistency. You can always manually change it or just use the regular alarm which does have this feature.

After six decades I appreciate the value of approximate consistency, but I think the suggestion is good. I move my wake-up time by around an hour depending on the day, and it would be nice to be able to set that up in the alarms as a fixed routine.

People have been hoping for this type of thing even before the Bedtime feature, back when Do Not Disturb was released when it would be useful for many to be able to set different DND times for different days (like weekends vs. weekdays).

Why not simply use the alarm feature? I like the bedtime for the sound options but with a regular alarm you can set the repeat days and times to meet your needs. They dont go away unless you turn them off through the app so nothing to set.

Yes I want this. I have one alarm set up for work days and a different one for the weekend. Ideally I would like to have two bedtime settings to cover those two cases.

The reason why two alarms is not the same as the Bedtime features is the sleep tracking in the Health app. It is calculated on the Bedtime feature being activated. Though it is a bit pointless as it just assumes that you went to bed as expected and woke up as expected.

Yeah I use the alarm feature for mornings - it could easily be added for evenings / bedtime etc.

I agree, I’d like that option. As it is, I manually change it almost every night.

I guess they want to push it as a “health” feature and I guess getting to bed and getting up at the same time is considered healthy. But who knows, maybe they add this feature one day.

Also, you get up at 5am? Wow, respect.

One simple reason - I LOVE the "fade in" feature of the Bedtime alarm, vs the jarring full-volume of the Alarm app.

52 mile drive in to work in traffic, and I start at 7:30am. So, yup.

If Apple added an option so it didn't come on full volume, but ramped up like the bedtime alarm, and had a separate max volume like the bedrime alarm, then it'd be great.

This is EXACTLY why I don't use Alarm, even though it does everything else I want. The fade-in volume is the thing I love about Bedtime. Should have mentioned that in my original post.

Now that you've made me contemplate this topic, I should spend some time finding a song that starts quiet and ramps up, to use as an alarm tone.
