Quick google search shows many said to be issues of users having poor wifi connection, dropping slow etc.

But it appears not many people on here are having that issue? Looked through the bugs thread and didn't see much on this topic.

Clean install time?

Man do I wish apple gave us retina customers a ethernet to thunderbolt adapter............... 40 min into Yosemite download and only 300mbs so far.

Machine : early 2013 MBP 15r 2.4.

----------

could use ethernet port on my display but that would be a major pain in. May have too..

I'm with you on this one. Yosemite created wifi problems on my mid-2012 11" MBA. I could hardly stay connected to my office's wifi for more than 3 mins at a time! Keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. It's super irritating!

That said, I don't have such an issue with my home wifi though. Stable throughout.

Sigh.... Apple! Please?

After waiting an hour to dl 10% of OS X 10.10 on wifi I went out and bought a long ethernet cable.. Downloading now.

I Really hope a clean install fixes this problem.

Maybe I am ranting but I am not happy about this at all and I am especially not happy how glitchy my iPhone 6 is compared to my iPhone 5s on iOS7.

I've the same slowdowns & stalling via ethernet. Some blame the new mDNSResponder implementation, I suspect the new MultiPath TCP.

clean install of 10.10 and my connection speeds are terrible, possibly worse then before.

This is unreal.

Its not that my connection is slow

Its that it keeps disconnecting and connecting.

And sometimes, even if it says its trying to connect, and its not, I can still browse the web...even if the wifi icon is "cycling".

FWIW, I spoke with an Apple Support tech a couple of hours ago. When I explained the issue, her initial response was that a router reboot usually resolved the problem. I then referred her to the discussions referenced above, indicating that the router reboot has no effect, and she asked me to wait while she checked with a senior advisor.

When she returned to the call, she said that Apple is aware of the problem, and is working on a fix. Although she said we might expect a revision to Yosemite, she could/would not provide an estimate of the timing of its release.

Having the same wifi issues. My MBP worked perfectly fine on Mavericks. Also tried resetting my router. My internet will go so slow that it just stops on the progress bar. Only way to get out is to restart my computer. I am also have issues with wifi on my new i6 on 8.1. Won't stay connected to 5ghz and keeps switching to 2.4ghz that is alot slower than 5ghz  Thinking of going back to Mavericks.
