I didn't buy one until my 3rd Gen, which I wanted for running and biking. I ended up selling it the minute the shuffle came out. I never felt I *needed* an iPod, but it sure beat the hell out of lugging a CD player around for listening to music on the go.

So, I'd say I still don't feel the need to own one, it's just a matter of convenience, especially when compared to the alternatives.

Why do you care? Do you need one? Are you a sheep who must get approval from others? Are you doing a research project? If so, your conclusions will be skewed by asking that question here. Or, are you laying the foundations for an iPod bashing?

Why do you care why he wants to know? Do you need to know? Are you a spy who must know about others doings? Are you doing a psychology project? if so, your conclusions will be skewed by asking that question here. or, are you laying the foundation for a user bashing?

Try getting up on the other side of the bed tomorrow morning...

It is a poll. I am just curious because I am the only person that I know that doesn't have one. Never wanted one and was just wondering if there is anyone else that didn't want one either and perhaps why. I don't feel the need for one becuase I have music flying around in my mind all day anyway. It is quite easy to remember as well. Wouldn't take one on runs for I would not hear cars, etc. behind me. What a ridiculous repsonse! What wild ideas! And why the hell would I come here to iPod bash?!

Well you must have a very good way to entertain yourself.

I couldn't see life without an iPod on long flights, school, working out, and when my mom is talking. :D

So the real question is "Is there anyone else that doesn't feel the need to own a portable music player?", right? I have an iPod Shuffle going unused because my SE walkman cell phone does a good enough job for me at the moment. I have to have *some* kind of portable music player with me, there are too many moments in life where you just have to wait around for something or other.

Ever since I got rid of my 4th Gen. iPod, I've been using an old Sony Discman! (Except for a brief period when I had a Creative Zen Vision: M)

I'm thinking very seriously about buying a nano, but I'm waiting around to see if they release new ones before I buy.

So yeah, it drives me nuts not having an iPod. The Discman isn't too bad, but it doesn't have a pause button and it sucks having to change CD's all the time when on an iPod you have a big bunch of music right there.

I couldnt live with my Ipod nano. its always with me in my bag or somewhere it helps me stay relaxed jsut pop in the ear buds and block out the world. that and any plane ride longer then an hour and half is a Ipod must.

Wow I can't live without my ipods gym would be very boring as would waiting at appointments!

Heresy!

Nah, I don't feel the need to own an ipod. My nano broke, but even before then - I didn't use it constantly. I don't even think about the old ipod. I'm happy walking to classes enjoying the silence or chatting with friends. Then I get back to my room and turn on some music from my computer.
