to play with their magsafe? i like pulling it out by stepping on it and yanking it in ways that would cripple any other computer, its just really cool.

Do you also get pleasure from bleeding?

Just kidding. I'd love to try one out, and I will as soon as I order my MacBook.

I don't like pulling on the cord, but I will confess to enjoying dangling it just outside the port and allowing the magnetism to snap it in there. Satisfying in an odd way...

I found it fun but I only like to do it with the ones at the stores just incase it casues any damage to mine I dont do it, however what I do like to do is when someone who hasnt seen the feature walks bye ill pull the core a lil tighter so that it pops out when the person walks into it and then they get worried for a sec and im like o no worries look what it does ,:)

Leave it to apple to make plugging a in a computer so, sexy.

I hate my magsafe.
Mine melted. I did nothing, it just decided to melt.
But it was good up until then.
(it wasn't the connector but the jacket on the cord next to the connector, still....stupid)

Apple replaced it though, well actually they shipped it yesterday but..it's good. Thankfully it didn't hurt the MacBook Pro.

Second coolest feature I've seen in years. First coolest USEFUL feature I've seen in years.

It took me exactly 3 days to have my $3000 computer saved from being yanked off my lap and onto the floor by a passerby by Magsafe, and that was not the last time.

And yes, I play with it occasionally. Although I find being able to sort of swing it around the port area without looking and let the magnet suck it into place both actually useful and tremendously satisfying.

Also, when doing updates on a friends PB without MagSafe, it wasn't 3 hours before someone tripped on the cord and yanked it out of the wall. It was a good thing I had a grip on the 'Book, or it would have been on the floor.

yea, that would have sucked.

thats good, did they give you any trouble?

No, not really. The only thing that they said that was ridiculous was 'Well if you didn't see actual smoke, then it is not a fire hazard.'

My magsafe melted, and that isn't a firehazard?
Sounds like if I leave it plugged in, and the MBP explodes I could easily sue apple :p

Same thing happened to me, except it was a day before I got my MB, and I had my iBook. My brother ran past, and he tripped over the charging cable. The whole iBook went flying:( , but thankfully it dropped onto the carpet, and it wasn't so high off the ground, but when I got my MB, a few days later I stepped on the cable when it was on my desk, which I'm sure would've sent any other notebook flying off the desk:rolleyes: The magsafe was probably one of the features that convinced me most to get a mactel notebook.
