With retina MacBook Pro 2015 my wrist gets pretty tired constantly keeping my hand hovering above the trackpad when using my laptop for extended periods of time. I wanted to get Magic Trackpad 2 for desktop use but now I’m worried it won’t be comfortable. How do you guys use the track pad in a way that lets you avoid wrist fatigue? Is magic track pad 2 more comfortable than using the macbok trackpad because you are able to place your arm flatter and the angle is better?

Yeah you’re definitely using it wrong! Don’t hover over it, trembling like you’re on a game show and need to push the buzzer at any given moment.

Hand on the palm rest and lazily half-swipe your gestures like an overweight lion listlessly swatting at a fly. Lie back and let your belly spill out. Burp out sentences — “Jane! Another beer!” — and stifle a dry-heave when you catch a glimpse of your blimp-like reflection on the screen.

Okay, not ALL of those steps are mandatory. But the gestures work really well anywhere on the trackpad. It’s very easy to be nonchalant with them.

I have a Magic Trackpad 2 for use with my iMac and yes, you can relax your hand by laying it flat on your desk. You can also move it away from your MacBook Pro and use it in whatever way is comfortable for you. They're currently on sale at Amazon for $99 but if you sign up for an Amazon credit card, they'll give you a $60 gift card which they will apply toward the Magic Trackpad 2. So you'll wind up paying around $40 for a device that Apple sells for $129.
