Amazing 3D photos created by app "Photo Popup"

App "Photo Popup" introduces amazing popup effect for the photos. You just need to mask the areas on your photo you want to popup. The masked areas will stand out on the resulting photo with shadow and blurred background behind them creating popup effect. The result is amazingly looking 3D-like photo.

The only pictures it works well is the plane and the present. Although, they still have too much shadowing.

Most of the pictures look too much like product advertising, instead of fun casual pictures you'd make to share on social sites. I'd expect to see the monument in some tourism site and the cat in a kitty litter/cat food ad.

The flower is the only one that looks like something someone would take and stamp a message on to post on Facebook.

I know that you can change the settings in the app itself just by the description, so I hope you take my advice and depict that a little better in the screenshots.

However, showing the best result would demonstrate what can be achieved with the app. This app implements unique photo processing technique not found in any other app. There are apps that blur background. However, we went further adding one more background layer with shadow that amplifies popup effect significantly as you can see on screenshots.

Yes, this is not full 3D effect - that's why we called it "3D Popup". The app provides capability to select part(s) of a photo that will "popup" from the surface of the photo - please see screenshots above. This is a unique app that implements popup effect using multi-layer split algorithm.

If anything, it's a backgrounder blurring tool.

I would like to add that the algorithm producing the image is a bit more complicated than just framing objects in shadow and blurring background. Regarding total absense of 3D effect I would disagree a bit too. Let's look at the photo of a flower for example. Doesn't it look as lying on the surface of the photo after processing?
